Andrea joined CERG, Massey University, New Zealand, as a graduate student in October 2025. She is pursuing a MSc Biology with a focus on ecology and evolution and has a strong interest in marine biology, particularly in cetaceans. Andrea completed her BSc in Biology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) in 2023, where she developed a strong foundation in molecular biology.

MSc Project:

Based at the Cetacean Pathology Unit (CPU) in Auckland, Andrea’s MSc research investigates epigenetic ageing in the context of life history, pathology and contaminant burden in common dolphins (Delphinus delphis).
